LAY-BY SALE POLICY


1. Introduction

BM Blocks Group (Pty) Ltd offers a lay-by option to provide customers with a convenient and flexible way to purchase products over a specified period without incurring interest. This policy outlines the terms and conditions governing all lay-by transactions.


2. Eligibility

Lay-by is available on selected products as determined by BM Blocks Group. The company reserves the right to approve or decline any lay-by request.


3. Deposit Requirement

  • A minimum deposit of 25% of the total purchase price is required to secure the item.
  • The lay-by agreement becomes valid only once the deposit has been received and confirmed.

4. Payment Terms

  • The remaining balance must be paid within agreed number of instalments from the date of deposit.
  • Payments can be made in flexible instalments (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).
  • Customers are encouraged to make regular payments to ensure completion within the agreed period.

5. Payment Methods

Payments can be made via:

  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
  • Secure card payments (via Yoco)
  • Other approved digital payment methods

Proof of payment must be submitted for all EFT transactions.


6. Order Processing & Collection

  • Items under lay-by will be reserved and not available for sale to other customers.
  • Products will only be released for delivery or collection once full payment has been received.

7. Missed Payments

  • 7-day grace period is allowed for missed payments.
  • Failure to make payment within this period may result in cancellation of the lay-by agreement at the discretion of BM Blocks Group.

8. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Customers may cancel a lay-by at any time before full payment.
  • Refunds will be processed less a 10% administration fee.
  • Refunds will be issued within a reasonable timeframe via the original payment method where possible.

Note:
If BM Blocks Group cancels the lay-by, the customer will receive a full refund of all payments made.


9. Stock & Availability

  • Items are reserved upon receipt of deposit.
  • In rare cases where stock becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, customers will be offered:
    • A full refund, or
    • An alternative product of equal value (subject to customer approval)

10. Customer Responsibility

  • Customers must ensure that all payments are made within the agreed timeframe.
  • Accurate contact details must be provided to receive payment reminders and updates.

11. Communication

BM Blocks Group will:

  • Provide confirmation of all payments received
  • Send reminders for upcoming or missed payments
  • Notify customers once their order is fully paid and ready for collection or delivery

12. General Terms

  • BM Blocks Group reserves the right to amend this policy at any time.
  • By entering into a lay-by agreement, the customer agrees to all terms outlined in this policy.
